Two Pits. No Trench.

HDD installs lines from 3/4" services to 48"+ mains under whatever is in the way, in ground from clay to solid rock.

Any size, any material.

3/4" service lines through 48"+ mains, in HDPE, PVC or steel casing. One contractor for the service connection and the trunk main.

Bedrock isn't a stopping point.

Overburden, clay, till, cobble and solid rock. A rock condition changes our tooling, not your completion date.

Restoration cost mostly disappears.

No trench line means no asphalt, curb, sidewalk or sod to put back. On long runs through developed areas that's where most of the budget was going.

Cross what you
can't trench.

 Highways, rail corridors,
rivers, wetlands, mature trees,
finished landscaping. If open
cutting isn't permitted or isn't
possible, boring under it
usually is.

Fewer approvals, fewer complaints.

A narrower permit scope, fewer affected property owners, and a lot fewer calls to the municipality during construction.

No open cut, no
road closure.

One entry pit, one exit pit, and everything in between stays untouched. Traffic keeps moving and you're not applying for a full-length lane closure.

Seven Utilities.
One Drill.

Everything from a residential service line to a 48"
trunk main, installed by horizontal directional drilling
without opening the street.

Water Mains & Services

Distribution mains and service connections in HDPE or PVC. Residential ties through municipal trunk lines, bored under roads, driveways and watercourses without opening the street.

Sanitary & Forcemain

Gravity sanitary on grade and pressurized forcemain, installed under roads, rail and rivers where an open cut isn't permitted or isn't practical.

Telecom & Fibre

Conduit and duct bank for fibre and broadband builds. Long runs on live streets with tight tolerances and minimal surface disruption through built- up areas.

Hydro & Power

Primary and secondary duct for hydro and power distribution, including road, highway and rail crossings.

Oil, Gas & Fuel Lines

Fuel and gas installations drilled to the tolerances and documentation standards this work requires.

Geothermal Loops

Horizontal loop fields installed entirely by HDD — supply and return lines, no vertical bore field required.

Intake & Outfall Lines

Water intake and outfall crossings under shoreline, riverbed and wetland, where surface disturbance isn't an option.

Yellow directional drill rig

The Right Rig for Every Bore.

Compact, mid-size and large production drills, so a fibre drop and a 48" trunk main each get the machine built for the job.

Ground conditionsOverburden to solid bedrock

Whatever’s Down There, We Tool for It.

Sand, clay, cobble or solid bedrock. Ground conditions change our tooling, not whether the bore gets done.

Sand, Gravel & Fill

Loose, unstable ground. The challenge is keeping the hole open, not cutting it, so we manage fluid viscosity and pressure through the pilot bore and the pullback.

Clay & Till

The most common ground across Southern Ontario. Tooling and drilling fluid are matched to the clay so cuttings clear cleanly and production stays high.

Cobble & Mixed Ground

The condition most likely to stop a bore. Mixed formations need tooling that handles soil and stone in the same run, and a bore path designed around what’s actually down there, not just what a few boreholes showed.

Solid Bedrock

Shield granite, limestone and shale. Rock bores run on tri-cone or PDC bits driven by a mud motor. It’s slower than soil, but entirely doable. We’ve been drilling Ontario rock for decades, and it changes our tooling and schedule, not whether the job gets done.

If a geotechnical report came back with rock and your last contractor walked away from it, send it to us.

Let's Connect

HDPE, PVC or Steel. Whatever the Spec Calls For.

We fuse, weld and pull all three with our own crews, in sizes from 3/4" services to 48" mains.

HDPE

The default for most bores. Flexible enough to follow the bore path and fused into one continuous string, with no mechanical joints to fail underground. We fuse on site in sizes up to 48" and larger, so the pull doesn’t wait on a subcontractor.

HDPE pipe

PVC

Specified by many municipalities for watermain and sewer. We install fusible and restrained-joint PVC, with the bore path designed around its wider bend radius.

PVC pipe

Steel Casing

Required under most rail and highway crossings. Sections are welded on site and pulled in as a sleeve, with the carrier pipe installed inside it.

Steel Casing pipe

Fusion, welding and drilling are all self-performed. One crew, one schedule, one point of contact.

Let's Connect

Every Sector Has Its Own Rules. We Drill to All of Them.

Trenchless installation for municipalities, telecoms, developers, contractors, rail operators and utilities.

Municipal & Government

Watermain, sanitary and forcemain installed under roads, driveways and watercourses without opening the street.

Telecom & Broadband

Conduit and duct bank for fibre builds, bored along live streets and under driveways, with existing utilities located and exposed before we drill.

Developers

Site servicing for subdivisions and ICI development, installed under finished roads, landscaping and hard surfaces without tearing them up.

General Contractors

Road, rail and watercourse crossings handled as one subcontract. We self-perform the drilling, fusion and welding, and work around your sequence, not against it.

Rail & Transit

Crossings under live track by rules-qualified crews, with steel casing where the railway requires it and the documentation its permit calls for.

Hydro & Power

Primary and secondary duct for distribution networks, bored under roads, highways and rail crossings.

Fuel & Gas

Fuel and gas lines drilled to tight line and grade tolerances, with the bore records and as-builts this work requires.

    FAQ

Everything you need to know about our services, emergency response, and project timelines.

Yes. CC Underground drills through overburden, clay, till, cobble and solid bedrock, including Shield granite and limestone. Rock bores run on tri-cone or PDC tooling with a mud motor, matched to the site's geology, bore length, depth and diameter.

From ¾-inch service lines up to 48-inch and larger mains. The final size depends on ground conditions, bore length and the rig selected. One contractor handles both the service connection and the trunk main.

We match the rig to the bore: diameter, length, depth, ground conditions, pipe specifications and pullback requirements. With eight rigs from compact to large production units, we bring the rig the job needs, not the one that's free.

HDPE, PVC and steel casing. Pipe fusion and casing welding are done in-house by our own crews, so drilling and pipe installation run on one schedule with one point of contact.

Yes. HDD installs utilities beneath rivers, wetlands and shorelines without disturbing the surface above. The bore path, depth and drilling fluid management are planned around site conditions and environmental requirements.

Yes. HDD crosses beneath highways and active rail corridors without a trench across the surface, so traffic and rail operations keep moving. Rail crossings are drilled by CROR-qualified crews, with steel casing welded on site where required.

CC Underground provides HDD across Central Ontario and the GTA, including Barrie, Orillia, Innisfil, Collingwood, Muskoka, Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham and Oakville.
