Hydro-vac excavation is a safe method of excavation that uses the mechanical means of high-pressure water to cut through the soil while a high-powered vacuum removes the mud left behind. Hydro-vac excavation is a non-destructive form of excavation that allows us to excavate the ground without damaging utilities, tree roots or the ground surface in the area of excavation with minimal soil lost. It is also used for environmentally sensitive areas to remove drill fluids, contaminated soils/spills or to clean out catch basins and storm sewers. Hydro-vac units are essential if digging around existing infrastructure is too risky. The main uses for hydro-vac excavating are safely exposing buried utilities, frozen ground excavation, curb stop repair, slot trenching and cleaning up everything from personnel maintenance access holes to train derailments.
Our Hydrovac is certified by the M.O.E. and is equipped with high rail gear.
